Class I Ball Mounts
When towing with a Class I trailer hitch, the Class I ball mount that is recommended by the trailer hitch manufacturer should be used. All Class I trailer hitches are tested and rated with the specific ball mount for that hitch. Using a ball mount that is not recommended by the manufacturer will void the warranty. The features of a a Class I ball mount are:
Has a 1-1/4 inch x 1-1/4 inch shank
Class II ball mounts will not fit on Class I trailer hitches

A difference in length of your hitch, or ball mount will effect the clearance from the trailer to the rear of your Jeep Liberty. I have a few options depending on the amount you will be towing and how adjustable you want to hitch to be for other trailers. First is the Curt RockerBall Anti-Rattle Towing Kit # C63KR. This uses a standard style ball mount with a cushioned 2" hitch ball. This will be set at the 3" height and is not adjustable but is the most economical of the choices.

For your 2020 Honda Odyssey the big difference between the two Draw Tite hitches you mentioned is that the # 76171 has a visible crosstube and the # 76170 does not. Having the crosstube out of plainsight makes the hitch look a little better and also helps with ground clearance. For your 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport we have the Draw Tite hitch part # 75229 and we have the Curt hitch part # C13243 both as a confirmed fit. They are both similar hitches in many ways but I'd go with the Draw Tite as it will allow your full sized spare to be stored underneath your vehicle. There is a very subtle difference between Curt hitches # C13386 and the now discontinued C13100; the orientation of the exhaust hanger brackets attached to the side flanges of the hitches. The main difference as you mentioned is that the Buyers Products Ball Mount has a longer shank which then allows for more rise/drop adjustments. The Curt Class III Ball Mount # C45056 comes with a standard 2" hitch ball that can be removed and used in the drop or rise position with the ball mount while the Curt Fusion Ball Mount # C45154 has the 2" hitch ball welded to the platform so it can only be used in the drop position.

The Draw-Tite Hitch # 76034 is a fit for your vehicle. The other Draw-Tite hitch you mentioned has been discontinued. Your liftgate will still function just fine. You just might have to run your foot under either side of the hitch opening instead.
